There are a few reports going around that Twitter along with other forms of social media will become part of the curriculum in primary schools in the UK. To make room for the additional course material various requirements in fields such as science, geography and history will lessened.
Twitter To Be Taught In UK Schools
Twitter Without The $55 Million Price Tag

Twitter Optimizes For Search Engines
TechCrunch picked up on a minor tweak with rather large implications. Twitter has modified the title of all user pages greatly impacting search engine results for millions of users. The new structure places emphasis on a users real name instead of their online identity.
AOL, Yahoo Eye Twitter
It seems everyone is clamoring to jump on the life streaming bandwagon. Gigaom is reporting that in a matter of months both Yahoo! and AOL will offer their users life streaming services.
Another large explosion is occurring at Redoubt
There has been a lot of Twitter activity (and Volcanic activity) over @alaska_avo regarding Mount Redoubt which errupted six hours ago. Most recently Station RSO stopped transmitting updates. Find further details over at the Alaska Volcano Observatory Twitter page by clicking here.
Twitter Stream Becomes A Trickle
Late last night Twitter was a rather lonely place. The constant stream of updates suddenly stopped. While the overall site remained functional, updates were not being pushed out making any conversation impossible. Anyone Tweeting really was just talking to themselves. Search was impacted as well which given the issue at the time that really doesn’t seem odd at all. There still has been no official word from Twitter Status.
Twouble with Twitters
Some of it rings rather true, don’t you think?
The New Super Bowl Ad
As reported by TechCrunch Jason Calacanis is apparently offering $500,000 big ones to gain a suggested Twitter account. Calacanis is known for pulling publicity stunts (he stated he was going to stop blogging last year and then continued again). The original offer was $250,000 only later being raised to $500,000 along with a clarification from Calacanis that that the suggested account will not be his personal account @jasoncalacanis but @questions. Calacanis believes that a suggested Twitter account is akin to having a Super Bowl Ad. It might be right now, but in three years that is anyones guess.
I’m here!
I’ve been wanting to start a Twitter only blog for awhile now. I picked the domain out a few weeks back but never really got around to building the site. Originally I was going to build it from scratch and go old school with a custom backend. Instead I decided it’d be a better use of my time to just go with WordPress and use a snazzy template. When the time comes I’ll set aside some time to build a custom design, but for now lets just dive into Twitter!
